When the tree suddenly grows out of the car
01/30/2019
Consciously or unconsciously, intentionally or overlooked, that is the big question here. The picture above specifically shows how the tree has worked its way up between the two cars over many decades. With its increasing girth, it pushes the two vehicles aside as if they were made of lightweight paper.
In this second picture, however, the tree is growing directly out of the car due to pure carelessness on the part of the photographer. He only had eyes for the object itself, regardless of what was going on behind or next to it. Time and again we are confronted with such unfavorably framed photos that should actually be deleted immediately.
But there are also situations in which, as a photographer, there is unfortunately not much you can do about it and you have to use certain tricks to make it less obvious.
In the case shown, however, there would probably have been enough space on both the right and the left. So you could have moved the Fiat a few meters to one side or the other and the picture would have been much better, at least it wouldn't have prompted me to write this blog.
P.S. The blue Fiat 500 Jollycar from 2015 will be offered by Bonhams at the Grand Palais auction together with over 100 other classic cars on February 7, 2019.
