When a picture was not yet a matter of course
04/13/2018
In the age of analog photography, it was even advertised not to leave the camera at home even when it was cold and snowing.
Highly sensitive film material was advertised, but it should be noted that this had a good ISO 400, which is laughable today with the possibility of ten times that or more. In Goodwood at the 76th Members Meeting in 2018, the weather and lighting conditions were so bad that analog photography would have struggled under these circumstances. Back then, it was just as difficult to take pictures in relatively dark exhibition halls and almost only possible with the help of a tripod.
Times changed with the introduction of the digital age, because today almost everyone has their camera with them everywhere and at all times with their mobile phone. No matter what the weather is like or how good or bad the lighting conditions are, pictures are now always possible.
