Will anyone still like this in 20 years' time?
At first you think the wheels are simply too small. On closer inspection, you can see the tire size: 295/30-22. On an off-road vehicle, the Mercedes-Benz G-Class is not really an SUV. But with these tires, the rim probably won't last five minutes off-road.
But apart from the practical benefits, there is also the question of whether this can be aesthetically convincing. And whether observers will still see it the same way in twenty years' time.
Of course, not all G-Classes, which already look almost like classics when new, drive on such sports car wheels and with red-painted brake callipers, but some obviously do. Perhaps this is simply a design quirk of the decade in the current millennium ...
