This used to be common practice. If you had climbed a high pass in your car or driven to a special destination, you would buy a sticker and decorate your rear or side window with it, as well as metal parts. After all, people were proud to have conquered the Gotthard Pass or to have driven as far as the Ortler region and Capri. And you were allowed to be, because driving used to be more demanding and the pitfalls of a long journey were greater than they are today. And after all, there was no Instagram, Facebook or selfie phones to celebrate success ...
