When wishes come true ...
Christmas time is also the time for presents and wishes that may or may not come true. For me personally, many wishes, some of which I had been cherishing for a long time, came true in 2018, such as the ride in the Lancia Stratos, which I now fit into much better than 20 years ago, probably due to its shrunken dimensions.
The drive up the Gurnigel in the Porsche 964 Cup on my birthday was also a great experience. And I would not want to miss the memories of riding in the Amilcar C6, one of the most interesting sports cars of the pre-war era.
I will also never forget the rides in the iconic Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 and the 356 Speedster. In general, almost every test and photo drive was a special experience, even if the car was a former bread-and-butter car or a still-fast-occasion.
The appeal of vintage and classic car reports lies precisely in the broad spectrum of vehicles. In this respect, my role as editor of Zwischengas/SwissClassics has actually fulfilled a great wish that I had in principle already harbored as a youngster.
