The only listed Wiesmann MF3

The Wiesmann story ended (at least temporarily) with insolvency, but the car still got its memorial. Not in Dülmen (Westphalia), where Wiesmann GmbH is based, but directly at the railroad station in Flüelen in the canton of Uri.
The MF3 was cast by Arnold+Co AG for the 2006 trade exhibition in the canton of Uri, partly as an eye-catcher and partly as an example of a mold, and when it would have been a matter of destroying the 1:1 concrete model again, it was taken over by the municipality of Flüelen and given a long-term parking space at the train station.
The Wiesmann company, founded in 1988 by brothers Friedhelm and Martin Wiesmann, made a name for itself with the production of hardtops for convertibles and then began producing an open-top sports car under its own name in 1993. The two company founders realized their dream of their own roadster with the Wiesmann MF30 . A total of 1600 sports cars were built until the company had to file for insolvency on August 14, 2013.
But perhaps the Wiesmann will soon be back on the road. The "Dülmener Zeitung" newspaper reported on the possible return of the sports car back in November 2015. A group of investors including the Indian-British brothers Roheen and Sahir Berry acquired the name and trademark rights, as well as the production facilities and the Wiesmann property in the form of the gecko, which can also be seen as the logo on the car. It would be nice if the stone Wiesmann were to be given new "living" brothers made of steel and plastic.
