Lancia Flaminia and the ravages of time
03/15/2017
In Villa Guardia (northern Italy), three Lancia Flaminia Berlina (built around 1965) are eagerly awaiting their rebirth.
The ravages of time are clearly visible in their decay and they are slowly turning from Flaminia to "Flami".
It's actually nice to see how age is slowly taking its toll on the bodywork. The peeling paint is reminiscent of wrinkles in the skin. The rust has already made its way into the glove compartment and the ignition key has been in the ignition for ages.
But don't worry about thieves, because even with the key they can no longer change hands so easily.
We all get old and gradually rust away, but the car has the great advantage that it can usually be brought back to life with a lot of patience and craftsmanship.
The pictures (and more of them) are of course also available in our picture archive and can be accessed directly in a picture magic sequence .
