What does this scene remind us of?

When we found the press photo of the Citroën GS from 1971, we immediately thought that we had seen a similar scene before.
And indeed, after a moment's thought, we realized where it had been.
In the movie "Back to the future", more precisely in the third part, which was released in 1990. At the beginning of the film, Marty McFly travels back to 1885 in a DeLorean from 1955 and is greeted by Indians "on the other side".
The scene from the early seventies showing the new Citroën GS with a horde of approaching cowboys (picture above) has a very similar effect.
But even if Citroën hadn't invented the time machine (and some of the designs could have given you the idea that they had), the Citroën shot wasn't a plagiarism, because after all, it took place around 20 years before the filming of "Back to the Future".
Of course, we have already published the report on the Citroën GS .
