A Panhard sedan with a plastic body - does anyone know more?
Unlike its predecessor, the Panhard PL 17 had a sheet steel body. That's what the books say. However, we recently received a picture of a very special Panhard PL 17, showing a yellow car with a plastic body.
Although it is known that Panhard also built plastic vehicles with the CD developed by Charles Deutsch, the fact that there was now also to be a PL 17 with a plastic body seems new. Perhaps it was an experimental model, or perhaps a private initiative?
While the chassis is made of sheet metal, the entire bodywork is made of GRP.
Does anyone know more about this? If so, just post a comment or send an email!
