Blowin`in the wind - gale force winds in Monaco
05/21/2014
"Blowin' in the wind", a huge hit by Bob Dylan, was played live in all tones towards the end of the sports car race at the GP Monaco Historique. Sudden gusts of wind made the parasols on the terrace of the Hotel de Paris dance.
The waiters had to frantically fold up the umbrellas before making their way onto the race track, injuring guests in the process.
The track fire department was also called out, as extended sun blinds were in danger of being torn apart. For their own protection, the blinds were then forcibly pushed back and tied down with cable ties. The sea began to rage and some people probably even felt uncomfortable in the harbor.
Only for the racing drivers was all this going on in the background, although they were certainly feeling the gusts of wind. If the engines weren't roaring too loudly, then they probably had Dylan's sound in their ears: "Blowin' in the wind".
