Anticipation is the greatest joy - new archive content for Zwischengas
Many of our users will be rubbing their hands together again. Over the last few weeks (and the coming ones) we have scanned more unique content, totaling over 41,000 pages! Now, it's not as if our archive is static, no, content such as sales brochures, historical photos and technical documents are added every week. But larger additions are something special!
The"Illustrierte Automobil Revue" was a magazine that appeared before the Second World War (1922-1942) and, as the title says, featured many illustrations, photos and graphics, which was of course the exception at the time, especially because some of the printing was in color!
Until now, our archive chronology ended in 1980, but the call for later volumes has been getting louder and louder. The years 1981 to 1990 were particularly "fat" years, with the Automobil Revue reaching record volumes during this period.
We didn't just forget the second half of the 1948 Automobil Revue, in fact it was very difficult to find, but now we have finally managed to do so, so that all volumes are complete.
And "last but not least" we will also add the technical data up to 1990, including the facsimile original catalogs from those times.
The content is not yet available, as it first has to undergo extensive quality assurance, metadata has to be recorded and added, and the individual facsimile pages have to be integrated into the overall application for navigation and use. This is still a lot of work, but we will soon be able to announce availability step by step.
We're looking forward to it, it's almost a bit like having a new generation....
