The Mercedes Benz 230 SL is not a dream car, it is more. It is good.
Copywriters know no mercy. Superlatives are strung together and linguistic oddities are brought together in a small space. This is also the case with this Mercedes Benz advertisement from 1963.
"The 230 SL is not a dream car, it is more. It is good."
This seems to imply that a dream car cannot be good, or that "being good" is more than being a dream car.
The description of the hardtop is also interesting: "The characteristic flat roof of the coupé version provides very comfortable access and unusually good visibility." The word "Pagoda" does not yet appear here, although it is precisely the shape of this roof that is responsible for this designation.
