Mistakes can also happen at Porsche

When Porsche presented the 928 in 1977, it did so as usual with a press kit containing descriptions, technical data and illustrations. Anyone who studied the illustrations carefully at the time was probably a little astonished, as some of the photos showed pre-production examples that did not quite match the usual high-gloss standard.
These photos probably came from a photographer's test photo series. It can be seen, for example, that the bright Porsche emblems in the center of the rims are missing. Instead, you can see the dark hub.
Although Porsche quickly recognized the error, some of these images were still printed before they could be replaced.
