What would be unthinkable today was common practice in the past. Imagine if Ferrari were to advertise racing cars in the public media today or if Porsche were to advertise the racing version of the GT3 in Auto Motor und Sport. Almost unthinkable!
In 1928, however, the company that sold Bugatti in French-speaking Switzerland and Ticino placed the advertisement shown here in an illustrated magazine of the time, in color and clearly visible. At the same time, it advertised the road and racing versions.
