Autumn and chicanes on the Joch Pass
There are two things in particular to talk about at the Jochpass Memorial this year: The beautiful fall weather and the two newly added chicanes.
In order to reduce the speeds (minimum target time 5 minutes), the organizers have added a rather narrow chicane halfway up the starting straight. This somewhat spoils the enjoyment of the speedy ascent, but the weather is at its best.
Autumn spoils the crews and spectators with pleasant late summer temperatures and the colors that autumn paints in nature are breathtaking. The drivers are laughing and waving, and any anger about the harassment is long forgotten.
And everything is immediately recorded on film....
A detailed report on this year's Jochpass Memorial with lots of pictures and impressions will follow in a few days.
