We are always delighted to see the wonderful press photos from days gone by. We've already published a few little gems over the months. This time we found a picture from France, where the model and photographer must have been mischievous.
The aim was to promote the then still young Renault R8 Major. The small Renault was joined by an attractive female model to promote sales. How exactly the idea of making the name of the ship the subject and photographing the lady in a Napoleon pose came about and whether the thin-skinned R8 was damaged as a footstool is beyond our knowledge. But it's certainly funny.
And it shows the healthy sense of humor of the Renault press office to distribute this photo to the trade press.
