The mathematics of the DKW marketing people

"3 = 6" was a simple formula, or rather a type designation, that DKW used on its banners or printed in its brochures.
It referred to the DKW F93 (F91), a saloon in various versions with the common feature of a three-cylinder two-stroke engine. And this was also actively praised by the marketing people in the brochure: "3 = 6 A magic formula?".
This sounded like this, among other things: "You need to know that with the two-stroke principle, there is one power pulse for every crankshaft rotation. With the DKW three-cylinder engine, this means three power pulses per revolution, just like with a 6-cylinder four-stroke engine. Hence the designation 3=6!"
Other advantages mentioned were reliability, simplicity, power, economy, cold safety and full throttle resistance.
Well, cleanliness, nitrogen oxides and CO2 were less of a concern in the 1950s, and people weren't bothered by engine noise back then either. Do you remember? Drömmdädädrömmdädädrömmdrömm ......
