The Corso of Arosa
09/09/2011
The "Gigi" in Arosa is actually a well-known event, but the Corso - another catchy two-syllable word - has also become a popular tradition on the occasion of the Arosa ClassicCar hill climb. Half the village and many tourists line the road between the paddock and Hotel Kulm.
The drivers are accordingly cheerful and brisk, unless they are slowed down by a police vehicle.
It is rare to see almost the entire history of motoring pass by at such close range in such a short time, from the American LaFrance...
... to the Porsche Carrera, ...
... from the Ferrari 330 GTO...
... to the Stanguellini.
And some drivers even slip into the right outfit.
We will of course be publishing another detailed article on Arosa ClassicCar with extensive galleries. Yesterday we already reported on the arrival of the English.
