Car infotainment in 1969 using the Mercedes-Benz 600 as an example
We're used to a lot these days: Bluetooth telephony, iPods, televisions, surround sound, etc. - The car has become an entertainment room. The experiments at the end of the 1960s look almost touching, even though the investment in equipment at the time quickly exceeded the value of a small or mid-range car.
The picture shows a Mercedes-Benz 600 with television, telephone and refrigerator. The television was of course black and white and the telephone equipment was not there to order stock market transactions, but to talk to the chauffeur, who also had equipment in the front. But the fridge had style, as did the whole car!
