How to open the door of a Mercedes 300 SL from 1955
The Mercedes 300 SL with the gullwing doors is one of the most frequently mentioned classics and one of the dream cars of many classic car enthusiasts. However, the prices are now beyond that of an (expensive) detached house, but that was actually the case back when the car was new. And even back in the 1950s, young people pressed their noses against the windows to take a look at the impressive speedometer.
But only a few were allowed to take a seat inside. The instructions, which incidentally were only 56 pages long (including the index), gave precise instructions on how to open and close the door. Of course, we don't want to withhold this from our readers:
There are hardly any questions left unanswered and the proud owners of these magnificent automobiles could certainly even do it in their sleep after a few days.
We will publish the full operating instructions on zwischengas.com at a later date.
