1500 British vehicles from 1910-200x met in Mollis (Glarus, Switzerland)
08/29/2010
In bright sunshine and temperatures of around 20 degrees, which were bearable even for British classic cars, over 1,500 British vehicles met on August 29, 2010 for the British Car Meeting in Mollis in the canton of Glarus in Switzerland. This makes the BCM, as the meeting is called for short, probably the largest of its kind in Switzerland. This year's guest of honor was Riley and the range, especially of post-war vehicles from this brand, was impressive. As usual, there were also legions of Triumph TRs of all stripes, MGs, Jaguars and Lotuses, as well as TVRs, Aston-Martins, Vauxhalls, Hillmans, Rolls-Royces, Bentleys, Nash and even a Connaught. In contrast to many other meetings, there is no age restriction at the BCM, so that the oldest vehicles parked next to almost new cars, replicas and recreations shared the space peacefully with expensive originals. The numerous spectators were treated to a cross-section of the British car industry, covering around 100 years and including rarely seen rarities.
