Ursprünglich hatte sich Tom Andrews den schrottreifen Bugatti 57 Ventoux nur gekauft, um auf dessen Fahrgestell einen "Atlantic" nachzubauen. Doch dann stellte sich das Chassis als das falsche für dieses Vorhaben heraus – und die Karosserie als die falsche für dieses Chassis. Denn 1937 war Fahrgestellnummer 57579 als Stromlinien-Limousine von Gangloff ausgeliefert worden. Dieser Artikel dröselt die Verstrickungen auf.
