The best of both worlds - the virtual magazine counter from readly
10/08/2018
Of course, even though we are mainly online with zwischengas.com, we still like to read printed magazines. We are well aware that the sequential browsing of a trade journal offers a completely different reading experience than the search/find/read concept online.
That's why we were delighted when we came across " readly " . Readly is basically a virtual newsstand, or even better perhaps the electronic version of the reading counter in your favorite café. On readly, you can read almost all the usual automotive magazines (and many other genres too, of course), just as you are used to doing with paper magazines, starting at the front and going page by page.
The big difference is that with readly you do this virtually on a tablet or smart phone. This has a few disadvantages, such as device dependency or screen size, but also some convincing advantages. On readly, newly published magazines are offered immediately.
Favorites appear in a separate tab, while the remaining magazines can be filtered according to preferences. You can also search on readly and view archive issues from the past, even if only for a limited period of time, as readly has not been around for very long. And above all, you get a lot for your money. The monthly rate is hardly more expensive than one of the higher-priced international magazines and you really get a lot to read, over 3000 German and other language magazine titles if you want, month after month!
If you want to try it out, we can currently even organize a particularly cheap trial month that costs less than one franc or euro.
We, for one, are thrilled and of course immediately added our Swiss magazine SwissClassics Revue to readly.
It almost goes without saying that we still enjoy reading paper magazines, but you can do one or leave the other. And because we like the concept, we will be linking those magazine series that are available on readly directly to the new service in the Zwischengas media library in future.
