Quite narrow!
10/07/2018
If you didn't look closely, you would hardly notice the yellow duck at Motorworld Classic Berlin. It's a Citroën2 CV, a Spécial version from 1985 to be precise.
But if you take a closer look or look at the car from the front or rear, you will immediately notice that the body is significantly narrower than that of the other 2 CVs.
Someone has gone to a lot of trouble to shrink the body to less than a meter in width, which probably makes the car a two-seater, with the seats arranged one behind the other like in a Messerschmitt. At least you can get in from both sides, as the four doors have been retained.
The wheels are now free-standing, covered by delicate soft wings.
And apparently the car has also received the TÜV's blessing, as the German license plates have been fitted.
"Follow the yellow banana" is written on the rear, and: "I lean into the curve, therefore I exist" (probably in reference to the philosopher René Decartes). Oh yes, I almost forgot to mention that the narrow 2 CV also has a trailer coupling!
Motorworld Classic Berlin is still open today, Sunday, and our report will follow tomorrow.
