That was my first car ...

We hear this really often. When we photograph cars at a classic car meeting or on other occasions, sooner or later someone comes along and says: "That was my first car!". And there's usually pride in their voice.
This was also the case with the black DKW3=6 at the OSMT train two weeks ago . This car was of course also a very competitive car at the time, offered a lot of power and you could drive it at the weekend in the slalom competition for top class places and then commute back to work on Monday. The fact that it smoked and had a special sound (keyword: Dedämm-dedämm-dämm ...) was more a strength of character than a weakness back then.
We are always happy when someone tells us the story of their first car ...
And of course we have already reported on the DKW 3=6 alias Auto Union 1000 ...
