Cars made of plastic - is that possible?
For us, cars with plastic bodies are a matter of course and an important part of vehicle construction history. But not everyone can imagine that cars can be made of plastic.
Yesterday and today, these people were given a visual lesson. Around 100 vehicles with plastic bodies were parked in front of the Swiss Classic World halls, brought together by the "Fantastic Plastic" meeting.
From Alpine to Trabant, from Marcos to Matra, from Lotus to Rochdale, the selection of shapes and colors was rich and fascinating. Also on site was a Rochdale Olympicfrom 1960, in which not only the body but also the entire underbody is made of GRP, a revolutionary but little-known sports car from England.
But there were not only plastic cars outside the halls, there were also a number of them in the halls of the "Swiss Classic World" classic car fair, such as an Enzmann 506 or a Fiberfab Caribee.
