On average, Zwischengas readers visit more than two classic car shows per year (question of the week)
03/06/2017
There are more and more classic car fairs - regional, national and even international - and they are all very popular. However, the individual fairs can only be profitable if classic and classic car enthusiasts attend several fairs a year. So the question is, how many shows does everyone go to? We wanted to find out from Zwischengas readersand were surprised at the enthusiasm for trade fairs that apparently prevails.
Only 4% do not attend any trade fairs, but the remaining 96% attend at least one trade fair a year. 74% visit at least two trade fairs, 43% at least three. 6% even attend more than five classic car fairs and parts markets.
These figures somewhat contradict other surveys that have been carried out on this subject. There, enthusiasm for trade fairs was found to be significantly lower. This could be due to the fact that the Zwischengas readers - 269 took part in the question of the week - take the classic car and youngtimer theme much more seriously than the participants in other surveys.
However, the trade fair organizers can be pleased, because interest is unbroken despite trade fair inflation. This was again demonstrated by the rush of visitors in Stuttgart on the first weekend in March.
For the sake of completeness, here is a graphic analysis of the results:
And, of course, we have already posed the next "question of the week" . This time it's about the "restomods" and whether they can enjoy classic car privileges.
And if you are interested in other/earlier questions of the weekand their evaluations, we offer a separate topic channelfor this .
