The classic parts market has a future

Whereas 10 or 20 years ago the parts market was often the only way to find a spare part or accessory, online platforms are becoming increasingly popular if you are looking for certain rare components. Restorers and classic car owners are increasingly using eBay and the like to find the right spare part quickly.
But the classic parts market at a classic car show or dedicated market is far from obsolete, according to Zwischengas readers. Over three quarters answered our question of the week "Does the classic parts market still have a future?" by saying that the classic parts market is still justified and only 22% believe that the days of these classic car fairs are numbered.
Presumably the mechanisms are simply different. You search on eBay, you find what you need at the parts market, sometimes by chance. The advantages of the non-virtual parts trade, such as exchanging experiences, comparing parts, physically checking offers, etc., seem to be more important to many classic car enthusiasts than the almost limitless supply on the Internet.
At the end of the day, both variants of the parts trade are probably needed ...
