And another big barn find, this time in Texas
05/21/2015
There are still many barns and unopened garages, you can be sure of that. And interesting finds are also coming to light. For example, in Texas, where a whole series of interesting Cadillac vehicles and products from other brands were (re)discovered. The small collection is said to have belonged to a certain Jack, who was a real car fan and is said to have taken his cars with him when he moved to Texas in the 1970s with the intention of restoring and using them at some point, which probably never happened.
These vehicles are now also being auctioned off, organized by Motostalgia.
Of particular interest is an electric car in the style of the Detroit Electric, but from a manufacturer called Milburn. GM is said to have taken over this company at the time just to get rid of a competitor.
Also interesting is the REO Model G from 1908, which could be used with either a roadster or sedan body and was therefore a real "convertible".
And not to be overlooked, of course, is the 1938 Cadillac Fleetwood V-16 Series 90 Imperial Limousine, which is expected to find a new owner for USD 45,000 to 65,000.
All the cars in the barn find can be found on the Motostalgia website.
For those interested in barn finds, we recommend the current special exhibition at the Pantheon, which features around two dozen cars found in barns and other storage areas, from Alfa Romeo to Porsche and Volvo.
