Concept cars and their pitfalls - using the Ferrari 512 S Modulo as an example
Yes, that's what concept cars are like. Visually stunning, but rarely drivable. Most of them don't even have a drive unit and have to be pushed from car show to car show. And if the turning circle is the size of a football pitch, it becomes even more difficult.
The Ferrari 512 S Modulo, Pininfarina's design icon, did not make it easy for us to maneuver to the desired photo location. A lot of manpower was required to push the car up the in-house hill.
But the picture not only shows the effort, it also clearly shows the dimensions of the 550 hp "i-Phone" on wheels, which even more than forty years after its presentation still looks like a vehicle from the future and could just as easily have come from the Apple Design Center as from Pininfarina.
