When Lancia vehicles still went to America

A wonderful picture, and not just because of the Lancia Aurelia 2500 GT America Spider. In 1955, Lancia exported a considerable number of these vehicles to the USA. The photograph shows the vehicles on their journey. The picture makes us wistful for several reasons. Not only was the Lancia brand then at its peak, which is unfortunately long gone, but unlike today, Lancia vehicles were highly sought-after in the USA and in this country and nobody would have thought of selling a Chrysler with a Lancia emblem in Europe.
