Ignoring the right of way with accident consequences fifty years ago

Fifty years ago, one of the most common causes of traffic accidents was disregarding the right of way. The driver pictured above even ended up upside down, which meant that he was coming from the right after all, at least in his "new" perception.
In the second picture, a journey also ended in an accident after a " right of way dispute", although it is no longer clear from the picture and the information that has survived who had given way to whom.
In any case, these pictures are great contemporary documents, both taken in Switzerland!
