The Triumph Spitfire is not regarded as a primary sports machine, but it certainly has its successes to show. Many have been (almost) forgotten, so here is a picture to remind us.
Jean-Jacques Thuner and John Gretener took part in various rallies in 1964 and 1965 in various Triumph Spitfires (including ADU 5B and ADU 6B), including the Monte-Carlo Rally, the Alpine Rally, the Tour de France and the Coupe des Alpes. This resulted in some impressive placings, although overall victories were understandably not possible.
