Ein wunderschöner, exotischer Außenseiter der 1950er-Jahre, der wegen seiner Seltenheit und Geschichte mit britischer Technik, italienischer Eleganz und amerikanischem Traum einen fast mythischen Ruf geniesst.
Nur 142 Arnolt-Bristol wurden gebaut, wovon 12 vor der Auslieferung an die Kunden bei einem Feuer in Arnolts Lagerhalle in Chicago zerstört wurden. Heute sind noch ca. 80 - 85 Exemplare weltweit bekannt und die meisten davon im Arnolt-Bristol-Register geführt.
Beim hier angebotenen handelt es sich um einen DeLuxe Roadster mit der Chassis-Nr. 404 X 3134, der in den späten 50er Jahren in den USA an den Erstbesitzer ausgeliefert wurde. Nach zwei Besitzerwechsel kaufte Lee Raskin 1983 diesen Arnolt-Bristol und setzte ihn während 20 Jahren erfolgreich in über 200 Rennen wie Summit Point, Lime Rock, Pocono, Pittsburgh GP, Philadelphia GP, Sebring, Bridgehampton, Watkins Glen und vielen mehr, ein. Am Lime Rock drehte sogar der bekannte französische GP-Sieger und Bugatti-Werksfahrer, René Dreyfus, zusammen mit Lee Raskin eine Runde in seinem DeLuxe Competition. Im Jahr 2005 wurde das Auto ins Vereinigte Königreich exportiert und fand im Jahr 2012 schliesslich den Weg zu einem Schweizer Sammler, wo es von 2013 bis 2018 auf höchstem Niveau Frame-off-restauriert wurde.
Dieser rare und wunderschöne Arnolt-Bristol DeLuxe «Competition» Roadster mit kompletter Historie, bekannten Vorbesitzern und intensiver US-Renngeschichte, ist matching numbers und befindet sich in perfekt restauriertem und top gepflegtem Sammlerzustand. Mehrere Ordner voll mit Dokumenten, Berichten und vielen Fotos, auch von der Restauration, sind ebenso vorhanden wie eine Betriebsanleitung und Ersatzteilliste, das V5 und der US-Title lautend auf Lee Raskin.

A beautiful, exotic outsider from the 1950s, which enjoys an almost mythical reputation due to its rarity and history, combining British engineering, Italian elegance, and the American dream.
Only 142 Arnolt-Bristols were built, 12 of which were destroyed in a fire at Arnolt's warehouse in Chicago before they were delivered to customers. Today, approximately 80-85 examples are known to exist worldwide, most of which are listed in the Arnolt-Bristol Register.
The car offered here is a DeLuxe Roadster with chassis no. 404 X 3134, which was delivered to its first owner in the USA in the late 1950s. After two changes of ownership, Lee Raskin bought this Arnolt-Bristol in 1983 and successfully raced it for 20 years in over 200 races, including Summit Point, Lime Rock, Pocono, Pittsburgh GP, Philadelphia GP, Sebring, Bridgehampton, Watkins Glen, and many more. At Lime Rock, the famous French GP winner and Bugatti works driver René Dreyfus even did a lap in Lee Raskin's DeLuxe Competition. In 2005, the car was exported to the United Kingdom and finally found its way to a Swiss collector in 2012, where it underwent a frame-off restoration to the highest standard between 2013 and 2018.
This rare and beautiful Arnolt-Bristol DeLuxe “Competition” Roadster with a complete history, well-known previous owners, and an intense US racing history is matching numbers and is in perfectly restored and well-maintained collector's condition. Several folders full of documents, reports, and many photos, including those of the restoration, are also available, as are an operating manual and spare parts list, the V5, and the US title in the name of Lee Raskin.
