From prototype to series production (car connoisseur quiz)

They were seen as prototypes and concept cars at motor shows, sometimes disguised as prototypes on the road. These one-offs were often the forerunners of later series models. Of course, there were still differences, but these prototypes were used at presentations in particular to gauge buyer interest.
One example is the Lamborghini Marzal by Bertone (pictured above), which once caused a sensation at the motor shows. The production model was then called the Lamborghini Espada, and although it no longer had gullwing doors, it still had four seats and the same basic shape.
For our latest car connoisseur quiz, we have searched our archives and selected some interesting prototypes, show cars and prototype cars, which you can now use to test whether you can identify the following production model. All you have to do is select the type of vehicle sold for each individual model shown. Would you like to give it a try? We can promise you that it's fun.
