First Citroën was too early, then too late. And too unconventional. In any case, the Citroën BX 4 TC was not one of the winning cars of the Group B rally years. Nor was it a success on the road. Today, it is probably the rarest Evo car of the time and also the cheapest. This vehicle report describes the history of the Citroën BX 4 TC and shows it in current and historical pictures. Rally fans are familiar with the famous Group B cars from the "ff", the cars that won the big victories and the World Rally Championship between 1983 and 1986, i.e. the Lancia 037 Rally, Audi Sport Quattro, Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 and Lancia Delta S4. But there were many more Group B racing cars and of course they also had a road counterpart, because the rule that 200 units had to be built applied to everyone who wanted to compete with a Group B racing car. And who would have needed 200 racing cars, for most people a dozen was enough. One of these cars was the Citroën BX 4 TC. It does not appear in any list of winners and it disappeared from the international stage almost without a sound, despite huge efforts by the manufacturer.
