Quite a lot going on in classic car country
06/07/2023
A single weekend, hundreds of classic car meetings - it's unbelievable how much can happen on a single weekend. And the crazy thing is that there was so much going on everywhere. Switzerland really doesn't need to complain about a lack of old cars.
A big Alfa Romeo meeting in Interlaken, a classic car meeting in Faido, the OSMT in Zug, the Swiss Classic World in Lucerne, a small meeting in Ottelfingen and, and, and ...
On the highway from Lucerne towards Zug, there were almost more historic cars on the road than modern ones. Whether American LaFrance, Bugatti or Volvo - all kinds of cars were on the roads, enjoying the sunshine.
Soon, as with all the tour groups - be it in Paris, London or Milan - a "patroness" will be needed to show people where to go: behind the blue umbrella is Zug, behind the red one is Lucerne ... and so on.
But let's be honest: it's just a lot of fun. Some meet at the Oldtimer Sunday Morning for coffee and croissants, then move on together to Lucerne to the Swiss Classic World and enjoy the evening sun on the farm in Ottelfingen, as Faido is perhaps a little too far - depending on the vehicle, of course.
This beautiful weekend was certainly enjoyed by everyone who has something to do with old cars.
P.S. We have already published a "picture sheet" on the " Oldtimer Sunday Morning Treffen" in Zug .
