A jubilarian celebrates an anniversary: 30 years of the Porsche 964, 30 years of the anniversary model

In keeping with Porsche's 75th anniversary, the organizers of the "Jubi IG", the interest group for the 911 anniversary editions of the type 964, managed to organize an invitation to the Porsche Experience Center at the Hockenheimring.
This included a visit to the interesting exhibition (all the vehicles on display were painted or wrapped in white), a few laps on the side circuit, first with a 911/992 pace car, followed by a free drive and then a meal together in the adjoining restaurant.
Those who wanted to could also watch the super sports car races and Formula 3 (deafening noise) on the large Hockenheimring from the main grandstand or take a walk through the paddock.
A truly unique experience for the reporter. But that's what makes the "Jubis" community so special. There are always interesting tours, people we look forward to seeing again, some of whom travel long distances on their own bikes (England, southern France, Jersey, Luxembourg, Holland and Belgium).
There are probably still around 600 vehicles in existence, 90% of which were painted in Viola metallic. Equipped as a Carrera 4 with a WTL body and various extras, this special model is very much in demand today and prices are already well into the lower six-figure range.
