A stroll through the city and old cars on the move...
As I was walking through the wintry city of Zurich yesterday, I noticed how present old cars still are, especially in the city. I passed several Volvo station wagons from the eighties and nineties at a short distance.
A Peugeot 205 appeared in between. A Renault Twingo was parked around the corner. And I also saw more than one Toyota with well over 20 years on the clock.
None of these were cherished Sunday classics, but everyday vehicles that are still in use all year round. Maybe not 30,000 km a year, but 2000 or even 5000 km.
And when you see one of these Volvo station wagons from the nineties, which was quite an impressive car back then, you realize once again how big cars have become today. Even if they are called Mini...
