The list of films in which you see a Mercedes-Benz of the W 114/115 series is probably almost endless. And if you think back to the James Bond movie "The Man with the Golden Gun", you are more likely to think of the cars from American Motors (AMC) than Mercedes. After all, one of the AMCs could fly and the other did a roll through the air.
Nevertheless, the Swabians supplied several cars for the movie and the /8 was not only seen as a cab, but also as an escape vehicle in front of the karate school in Thailand. However, Bond (Roger Moore) missed the entrance and had to flee by boat.
And why did we remember it anyway? Simply because we have just published a book review for a new /8 book .
