Around a quarter of classic/young car owners want to downsize (question of the week)
11/09/2020
The coronavirus pandemic has meant that many classic and vintage car owners have been unable or unwilling to use their cars as much. Some may even have wondered whether fewer cars in the garage wouldn't be better - after all, a lack of use is also detrimental to this cultural asset on wheels.
We wanted to find out more and asked our readers how they felt about this issue in a " question of the week " .
50.2 percent (of 245 respondents) do not want to reduce their stock at all, preferring to increase it, if at all. The pandemic has therefore not had a negative impact on them and their passion for classic/young cars.
However, 26.5 percent said they were definitely planning to reduce their car collection as a result of the pandemic, and some of them had already done so.
None of the other answers were correct for 23.3%, perhaps because they own exactly one old car or none at all?
But if just a quarter of classic car owners are really thinking about owning fewer cars, the impact is likely to be considerable.

Of course, we have already launched the next question of the week . It revolves around whether vintage and classic car enthusiasts are prepared to buy cars online or at least try to do so.
And, of course, you can still look up the results of all previous Questions of the Week in the dedicated topic channel.
