When people still painted instead of glued

In the age of large-format "all-in-one printers" and huge LCD screens, it's hard to imagine how "car shows used to be done".
But in 1972, the stand designers actually still took a paintbrush in their hands and painted their (pop art) motifs on the exhibition stand with a single stroke. The picture was taken in Paris in 1972, the day before the Motor Show opened.
Only slightly more advanced than the VW stand was the Peugeot stand, where the stand designers still had a lot of work to do.
