Take a virtual seat next to us in the narrow seat of the 1934 MG NE. While we switch on the fuel pump, the ignition and the generator, you can look forward to the background noise. And then we press the starter button and the six-cylinder in-line engine gets going. What a sound! A tap on the accelerator pedal revs up the engine and lets it roar, inimitable. Fascinating. Intoxicating. Fantastic even when stationary. And only then at speed!
