This picture is only black and white, but you can guess that the Studebaker Avanti vehicles on the transporter were not only painted white, grey and black, but in a wide variety of colors. Because a colorful dress suited the original plastic sports car.
The photo documents the moment when the first finished coupés were finally delivered. The start of production was delayed due to difficulties with the fitting accuracy of the plastic parts.
