Dan Gurney at Goodwood

As a special attraction, the organizers of the Goodwood Revival included a "Tribute to Dan Gurney" in the 2012 program. On display were not only well-known cars with which Gurney celebrated successes, but also comparatively unknown specialties with which Gurney drove at the beginning of his career, such as the Ol' Yaller II, a Buchlowsky-Buick from 1959 (picture above).
Of course, legendary formula cars were also on the table, such as the Porsche 804, the Brabham Climax BT7, the Lotus-Ford 29, the Eagle-Offenhauser or the Eagle-Weslake T1G.
Vehicles such as the Lotus-Cortina, Ford GT40, Ford Galaxie 500 and Ford Mustang Boss 302, which Gurney drove during his career, could also be seen and, above all, heard.
A successful show, we think. Whether "Gurney for President" or not ....
