In the January 1965 issue of the magazine "Powerslide", the Lotus general agency for Switzerland placed a full-page sales advertisement for various formula racing cars.
In addition to new cars, the used cars from the completed 1964 racing season were also offered: "3 works Lotus F1s, latest version with Coventry Climax sixteen-valve engines, for sale on return from South Africa."
If you had bought these three cars back then, as a kind of retirement provision, you would certainly not be dependent on the fourth pillar of unemployment benefit, the third pillar or private pension insurance today. We recently published more about the successful Lotus 25 in a racing car article.
