The stripped Lancia Stratos HF from 1971

Sometimes you find things in archives that you didn't even know existed. At least that's what happened to us recently when we found a promotional brochure for the 1971 Lancia Stratos HF prototype, in color and large format.
The Lancia Stratos HF from 1971 anticipated the Stratos rally racing car that was built later, but its specifications differed from the series product that was later powered by a Dino 2.4-liter six-cylinder engine.
In 1971, the engine was to be the twin-camshaft four-cylinder from Fiat stocks, 2,000 cm3 in size and producing around 150 hp. The target vehicle weight was 770 kg, the vehicle height was 1.09 m, while the length and width were specified as 3.67 m and 1.72 m respectively.
The orange and red prototype certainly looked attractive, especially if you had only seen black and white pictures of it before!
Of course, the brochure can be found in the Zwischengas archive , as well as an article on the production Lancia Stratos and its predecessors, including all the factory photos of the prototype found to date.
