The car is and remains an issue

The current special exhibition entitled "C'est la vie" at the National Museum in Zurich shows press photos and their history from 1940 to the present day.
In an impressive exhibition about the press photos of days gone by, the car is not neglected either. The motor show, just like traffic in general, is of course a topic of earlier reporting. In addition, Jo Siffert, who died in a racing accident in 1971, made it among the Swiss "celebrities" such as Max Frisch, Pirmin Zurbriggen, Roger Schawinski and many others. The Swiss Grand Prix in Bern was not forgotten either.
Another attraction of the exhibition is "The dream of owning your own car", a reportage with six black and white photos all about cars.
This exhibition is recommended for anyone interested in press photos or Swiss life in days gone by. An impressive selection of outstanding photography, from everyday situations, perfectly staged - and easily accessible right next to Zurich main station!
The special exhibition is on display until April 22, 2012.
