The objective of being able to transport two golf bags in the trunk of a sports car does not originate from modern times.
As early as 1961, Volvo presented the Volvo P 1800 sports car together with dynamic and successful people who also wanted to transport golf bags.
The Volvo P 1800 became famous as the "company car" of Simon Templar, the English private detective who drove a white example in the series "The Saint". Built over a period of around 13 years, the sleek Swede was a successful sports car.
