Classic car owners are selective when documenting (Question of the week)
Two weeks ago, we reported that 85.8% of all classic car and youngtimer owners are somewhat or very interested in the history of their classic car. This was the result of a "question of the week".
As a result, we wanted to know how the history of the individual garages is continued: just as conscientiously as with the previous owner, even more meticulously or with an abrupt end. Our corresponding " question of the week" was therefore: How well do you document your classic car?
It turns out that the majority of classic car owners do indeed continue the history of the car. However, 54.3% primarily keep invoices for major investments or repairs, but do not keep a logbook or fuel receipts, for example. However, they do keep the previous owner's documents
24.3% collect everything and also keep an electronic file. And 12.6% are particularly meticulous and keep everything, from fuel receipts to maintenance bills and insurance invoices. They fill entire folders with them.
Only 1.6% stated that they hardly keep anything, meaning they have little interest in continuing the story, while a further 1.6% keep at least a few photos.
For the sake of completeness, it should be noted that 5.6% did not agree with any of the answers given.

The next "question of the week" has already been posed. This time it's about the classic cars of the future, or more precisely: Will the new cars of 2023 be driving on our roads as classic cars in 2053?
